Since I'll have to pay to pay a shop for labor, does anyone know of any shops in GA (preferabbly around Atlanta) that does swap packages like xatracing, phase2, heavythrottle, etc.? It'll be much easier to have a package rather than trying to piece everything together over time and pay for more and more labor. I could do a stock swap, but there are some aftermarket parts I want installed with the swap for a piece of mind.

I've heard of some shops around atlanta doing swaps, but not swapping packages. Anyone know anyone?

What exactly are you looking to add? I don't think JARCO or CardinalPerformance offer swap packages. They are the only two importers in the Atlanta area. There are plenty of shops that will install your parts at the same time as the motor installation though.

I know that list isnt really substantial or anything major, but I really just dont want to be charged an arm and a leg for the extra installation of these parts when there are packages that MAY be cheaper and/or better. And if I decide on a ca18, I'll be getting rebuild parts (gaskets, seals, pumps, etc.) installed as well.

I wish I could that get that xatracing stage 1 package But its too far to drive (est. 7 hours).

The only thing that will really drive the price of your installation up is the guages and electrical stuff you have listed. The rest of it is no big deal. Just talk to whomever was going to do your installation and see how much they would charge you.

JHot in Agusta a couple hours east also sells clips and motor sets. Why don't you just get a package from HT and have someone else install it for you?

Well it sucks though, cause if I order the package from HT, Im assuming Im gonna get raped...I think it would roughly be around $5,500 (blacktop) for everything shipped....then installation $1,000-$1,500 + any additional important parts installed...

Well... that's about what it'll cost anywhere(maybe minus shipping).

Why don't you get a shop to do the install of all the mechanical stuff and do the wiring for the gauges yourself. That wouldn't take more than an afternoon really and would probably save alot of money in labor. It's not like you really need a place to tear apart your car either. Mostly just wiring inside the car.
