Alright guys,
I know it's been a while, but I actually just picked up my intake manifold last week from getting polished (which has been there for 2.5 months now) and it's beautiful. I'll get the valve covers done and I will put the motor and transmission into my 1990 sentra. The car probably won't be operational till next year, but since it's a project, it's okay. Total cost to date nearly $8000. And to those who don't know what in the heck I'm talking about, the motor is a fully built (And I do mean fully) CA18DET that sports Pauter rods, ACL bearings, wiseco pistons (stock bore), ARP main studs, ARP head studs, JUN Cams = 272 duration 10.5mm lift, JUN solid lifters, JUN valve springs, adjustable cam gears, meticulously ported and polished head, 3 angle valve job, decked block, new oil pump, new water pump, custom intake manifold which will sport a 73mm throttle body, MSD 72lbs/hr injectors, T3/T04E 60-1 stage III, custom exhaust manifold, NISMO 1.2mm headgasket,Custom frankenstein gearboxCustom axles,Solid motor mounts (home made)300zx fuel pump, custom intercooler,Greddy Type R and blitz blowoff valvesHKS wastegate
The car will have a host of performance parts as well because this will be a one of a kind sentra. The SE-R owners only wish they had access to the knowledge I have and what we CA18 owners can make do with. I will be spinning this car betwen 1000 and 9700 rpm. I also have a set of cams 276 with an 11.5mm lift that I will be experimenting with as well before I build my stroker motor. Yes, I will be building a stroker motor and I got the hook-up on someone in the U.S. competent enough to provide the kits built by an American company.

http://www.digitalpose.com/mbr...l.jpg This car never was introduced to the U.S. with rear disc brakes; no one never said it couldn't be done. I'm probably the 1st to pull it off as I did this about 8 years ago.
http://www.digitalpose.com/mbr...l.jpg Imagine a car this hideous looking putting out better than 500whp and in your rear view mirror (for just a second) and then 10 car lengths ahead of you within 3 seconds.
http://www.digitalpose.com/mbr...l.jpg For those that never saw the the sister car or better yet, my girlfriend's fun car.
http://www.digitalpose.com/mbr...l.jpgh ... br...l.jpg This hurts, but will be getting repaired 12/11/03 so that it can go to moroso on 12/21-22/2003. I'm going to put the well abused CA18DET to work one last time before the year ends. Can we say 25psi on a stock headgasket!
http://www.digitalpose.com/mbr...l.jpg That one sports rear disc brakes as well as a KYB/Intraxx combination on the suspension side.

I hope you guys enjoyed me sharing some of personal triumphs and pain. Remember, that in the world of performance, money is only one thing and innovation is another. If you're missing either, just be happy with what you got and don't ever look down on your stuff because someone has something better. You own a CA18DET and that's special enough. We are in a class by ourselves and no matter what anyone says, this is the best 4 cylinder nissan has ever made (Point Blank):jet:
Happy Holidays to you all from D'angelo L. Eiland and Family!
