I'm reassembling my ca18det and I need a gasket set, rings and bearings. After searching around I've heard that I can go into napa, autozone etc. and get all that for a 1988 nissan pulsar dohc and it will all fit. I'm sure those answers are on here but I couldnt find anything conclusive so dont flame me a simple "yes" or "no" will do just fine, thanks.

Yes that's true.

Just tell them you have a 88-89 nissan pulsar nx 1.8 liter and they should have the part you asked for.

I've yet to find a part that did not match up correctly. Good luck, buddy.

Well I'm getting my rod bearings and pistons rings re-done as we speak.

$65 for the rod-bearings and $85 for the rings. BTW, let me know if I've over-payed.... ><

I paid like 30 for bearings and 60-70ish for the rings from napa.
