Hey Guys,

I am new to the forums and pretty new to the 240SX. ( I've had mine for a few months now) One question has been bugging me for a while so here it is.

What EXACTLY has to be done to a Ca18 to GET it to this 500HP that it can handle. I see all these posts on how it and the SR are great swaps ( and I agree) but I never see what it is that is done to make them that way. Sure you have your Intake, Exhaust, upgraded turbo, larger injectors but everytime this gets posted the outcome is like 230RWHP. Now this isnt exactly crappy HP but the other half of the posts say the "CA and SR can reach 300-500HP pretty easily with the CA costing less after 400+". Well WHAT GETS THEM THERE. Be specific guys I am sure a LOT of people wonder this. Also, I read that the SR is better as far as cost for anything under 350-400, but since you can get a lot of repair parts for it in your JoeDirt auto shop and do not have to order online from specific dealers then wouldn't it be the realistic better buy? Well, anyways. Please list what MAKES the engine put out the insane HP. and Daunttless, your web page is lookin good and I am looking to you as my dealer soon, but finish the links in the engine descriptions that are ment to tell the costs of upgraded injectors/cams/turbos and all that, will make it a lot easier for me to see whats an option and what I need to save.

Damn what a long posts...guuuhh Time for bed

I'd throw in an uprated crank and rods to the above list.

I was also looking for info about what parts will fit the CA engine. As in, how can i find a clutch or things of that sort that could be found for the SR easier cause everyone and their mothers sells that stuff now. Also, will any exhaust made for the 240sx fit, or does it have to be made to fit the CA?

Your exhausts are going to be car specific. Your exhausts that are designed for your car will fit, only thing needed to adapt is a downpipe. Sometimes you have to get them custom made, sometimes you can buy them pre-fabbed. I think Daunttless's downpipe willl work for you :)

KA 91-94 clutch fits, this has been discussed before. More parts are available from the dealership and your local auto parts store than for the SR.
