Is it possible to remove the bumps on the cam covers, then have just a simple hole drilled & tapped into the end of them for a breather?

I saw some smart CA cam covers for sale a while ago, cant seem to find them any idea where to get them from?

You mean take the nipple off the top that is cast in there? That should work, just make sure that your new hole/s will not have oil splashed directly into them, notice the block plate under the cover that keeps splash out of the holes. Also, look into the drain back mod if you want some real increase in performance and reliability.

Yeah you could run a catch tank, and even run a hose from there back to the sump I think.

Good question! Main reason is space ...lack of it! See pic, engine is fitted in a kit car and I think it hits the bonnet

Ah ok, so you have a genuine reason then, sorry I just wanted to confirm it wasn't an aesthetically change only. Didn't notice you were in the UK, looks like you've got an interesting project on the go I think you really need to first confirm that the clearance is an issue, and then go from there. I take it the engine's sitting as low as possible? What mounts are you using? Does the plenum hit the bonnet?

If you're interested in the CPC inlet manifolds drop me an email, there’s another 'street' version available, which is slightly cheaper and doesn't require the custom fuel rail; [email protected]

The front Cam pulley cover and backing plate sits at the same, if not fractionally higher height, so you wont gain much from the modification. Ive seen it done though, and it does look nice!

The engine cant go any lower unless i can have the sump modified as it sticks out under the car already by 50mm!
