ok, well even tho i dont really need it any more i decided to throw together a transmission today cuz my friend gave me a bellhousing from a 1985 ca18et, and i have a 92 ka transmission. so i alrdy had the gasket for that inner cover everything looked like it would line up perfectly, welll, i go to slide the bellhousing onto the transmission and the one bearing wont fit, like there are to big bearings, one on the main input shaft and then the other smaller one, well its the smaller one, the smaller bearing on the ka transmission is to big and wont fit in the hole on the ca bellhousing, wtf, sooo wat do i need to do? can i put the bearing from the ca18 transmission on the end of the reverse shaft? have the hole on the bell housing drilled out larger??? i was told this was a quick easy change

I put a KA bellhousing on an ET transmission... they are swappable. What generation CA18ET bellhousing are you using? (MK1 200sx 1984-1986 might be different...)

It's pressed on. I think you'd need a hydraulic press to get it off.

I'd use what is called a "drift". It's basically a round peice of metal that is the same diameter of the inside of the bearing. A lot of the time you can use a socket.
