So, I've heard that you can use ca16 cams for extra power. Is there more to this than just swapping them out? Do you just use the intake cam or both? Is there any particular year that is better than the other to get these cams from? How do you think they would compare to...say...270 cams? Thanks :)

there is no comparisson between the CA16 248 EX cam that are used instead of the CA18 240 IN cam and an aftermarket 270 cams, aftermarket cams with such long duration are made for performance engines, it will effect drivability in different RPMS, idle & start, and change the powerband. the CA16 EX cam swap for the CA18 IN cam will make about 5-8whp if you are lucky, the 270 cam swap should give you about 20 depending on your setup and tune.

the comparisson is chalk and cheese
