Hey guys, I looking into getting an out of state Y33 registered into CA, but reading the DMV guidelines, it seems that the car has to have a 50 state/CA emissions certified sticker under the hood. I had the seller take a pic of his emissions sticker and I wanted to cross reference it with one from a CA Y33. The sticker from the seller doesn't state if the car is CA okay or 50 state legal like the example from the DMV website:

Here is the sticker from the sellers car:

If you can, please post a pic of your sticker. Last thing I want is to pick up the car only to find out that I can't register it. :doh

Thanks for your help!

make the seller produce a current CA smog certificate for the car. they are good for 60 days no matter how many times it changes hands in those 60 days.

i have personally registered a '49 states' car in CA. as long as it is more than 6 mos old, it is considered 'used' and can be titled in CA---provided it passes CA smog.

the picture you poseted is a '49 states' sticker. the 50 states version has a second line [an AND] which also states to meet CA emissions standards.
