itll turn over fine and quick but will not stay running unless i hold or play around with the throttle 25%-WOT and even then it barely keeps it self running. im not running a IAC ACC or AR i plugged the 2 nipples on the IAC and the one to the left of IAC has anyone had and/or fixed this problem? im thinking its most likely the fuel pump/pressure but i havent checked fuel pressure, i can hear the pump working though. motors been rebuilt recently and has turned over and idled so im not considering compression or timing issues.its just been sitting for about 2 months fixing a erradic idle and now it doesnt even want to idle. ... any helps appreciated

im not 100 percent positive but im pretty sure it hasnt been messed with its a ka24e throttle and tps, what i did to fix the erradic idle was change the IACV gasket, plug the all the vacuum sources i didnt absolutely need and move the MAF about a foot away from the turbo becuase i had it about a inch in front of it

Proximity of the MAFS to the turbo seems to be a reoccurring problem with the CA. I wonder if this is a problem with our MAFS, or all of them?

Here is the raw an uncut truth: Hook things up correctly and the car/engine should function as it should. Hooking things up half-@ss or because you don't want to use it, usually causes the thing to act the way the factory didn't intend it to, so you should revert things back to the way the factory intended. Unless you are going to run a standalone, you bucket is not going to function properly without important idling components properly installed and connected. ;)

I understand my original plan was to keep the CA completely stock but well although it started off as my future fun dd w/ rebuilt stock CA swap i started finding and buying alot of parts and in the year off having it its become less off a dd more off a stripped down fun weekend car but a standalone is on my list off never ending parts lol but anyways i think i may have found the problem i ran it w/ the MAF unplugged and it idled fine in limp mode so im going to test the MAFS and if thats not it my second guess is that theres a leak bewteen it and the turbo

what maf do u have. def make sure the maf is atleast 12" away from the turbo. I try to get as far from the turbo as I can, it just depends on how much space permits me to move it away. turbulence thru the maf tho when to close to the turbo with cause some seriously fubar'd signals. stock everything back out and then adjust your throttle voltage, set timing to stock, move the maf away and then you can begin to modify things one step at a time. it'll make life sooooooooo much easier chasing one problem at a time than a whole bucket of problems at once
