here they are

both are from 1989 model year 5 speed, nonabs s13s

the CA one is on the top with the U-joint right behind the transmission coupler

the KA one has a beefy knot of brackets and bolts to make it a single piece (instead of 3 like the CA)

both driveshafts are 75.3mm in diameter

and for what its worth, the KA one weighs 25.8 lbs and the CA one is 24 lbs

also the KA one , the 'knot of bolts' can hit if youre trying to load on a normal flatbed trailer, depending on how low your car is

Good comparison. I never knew there was a difference between any of them. My car didnt come with a driveshaft so I scored a 180sx driveshaft off of a guy for $15. Glad I did now.

I'm using the stock s14 5-speed driveshaft on my CA (because its in an s14), and it looks exactly the same as the stock CA one.

while we're on the subject of drive shafts, why isn't there a seal between the driveshaft and transmission or was mine just missing?

Theres a seal where the driveshaft enters the transmission, just a normal oil seal like a front main seal or cam seal on an engine. Theres also a dust shield, alot of people remove it during engine swaps because it will rub sometimes depending on what your transmission/driveshaft combo is.

im using a ka driveshaft and had to cut my dust shield WAY back to get it to stop rubbing. i notice drivetrain slop or looseness im hoping its that rubber knuckle and not my rear.
