Just a week ago my car started right up after 2 seconds of turning the key. Now just a few days ago ive noticed its taking a lot longer to start up.

This is also when the car is cold, when its warms it seems normal again.

Ive always had a problem with the idle control valve and the car not idling right away. It usually takes a few seconds for the idle to set in. But even still, the car started right up.

Spark plugs are 3 weeks old. And the car runs perfect once it does start up, no missing or stumbles and revs to redline without a peep.

Any ideas?

have you done a comp test ?

Sometimes worn inlet valves can cause bad cold starting. And CA's over here are known for it.

test your battery, and do a starting current draw test, if it draws to much current, your starter could be on its way out, but my guess is its the battery is too cold, try that and tell me how it works

If you are running stock ecu, do a diagnostics on it and see what kind of errors it spits out, one thing you might want to check, is your injectors, they might be starting to clog a bit which could result is cold start problem.coils, sparkplugs, ptu, could also cause that,

Good luck

2 seconds of turning to start seems kinda slow to begin with. my CA starts as soon as you turn the key. it goes *tur-VROOOM-n. did that when i started it for the first time after i swapped it in too. guess mines "special" (as in, short bus to school special)

Well it usually starts on the 2nd crank revolution.

Compression test yielded 155, 155, 160, 165 when I did it 4 weeks ago.

ECU is chipped but I can still run the diagnostic test, which I will do today. Whats PTU?

And according to the Turbo Timer voltage reading, it draws the same current it always did.
