Yes like gtr mentioned. Dont unplug the engine harness from the engine. Remove the bolts that hold the ecu and unplug the ecu from the harness. Than from the engine bay, pull the harness out. Easier with someone guiding the ecu/dash harness while you pull. After that, just the brown and grey connector, some plugs near the fuse box. And you can remove the engine with the harness still on. Make sure there isnt anything being pulled when your lifting the engine from the engine bay.
Oh btw, make sure to take pictures before, during, and after swap. It will help keep you organized and track where things go. And don't be shy when taking pictures. Snap snap away.
It should be easier since you have full access to tools, a lift, and a certified teacher mechanic (hopefully). The ca was the first swap I did by myself. And I mean by myself as I did everything from taking out the old engine, and putting in the ca and getting it running. I think I made a thread about it somewhere on this ca forum.
