Ok I'm about to do a CA swap into my 90' coupe that i swapped a KA24DE into from the 24E so i'm wondering from everyone and anyone who's swapped to the CA how hard was it I've swapped an SR but i'd rather do the CA this time so i was just wondering if it'll be as easy as the SR

Its pretty much the same s***, motors are motors. Wiring harnesses are the only really big difference.

its the same as removing/installing a KA, and the wiring is the same as an SR, basically

the reason it said basically is because the rewiring is about the same, when i swapped mine in i followed an SR wiring guide because the same wires have to be spliced and whatnot, the harness is different of course but the modifications to the wiring harnesses are almost the same.

To be honest, I have been thinking about going back to the KA24de from the CA. After seeing whats being done with that motor on stock block, it seems to be a much better place to dump money.

They 400-500rwhp on stock blocks(I am sure that they are a ticking time bomb) quite regularly. Parts are getting cheap, as are tuning options getting better. Does not raise as many red flags when your getting smoged. Much more torque. KA-T.org, should say it all.

cant think of any KAs hitting 1k HP......

building ANYTHING can yeild hat kind of power. dont expect to do it on a budget and def not on anything that is w/o a full rebuild and upgrade.

Masters of the obvious lol.... Wow. I used to work on NA engines that would churn out around 3,000 pounds of torque and maybe 1,000 hp but they are as big as your double wide trailors and about 2 stories high. Of course he's talking about a boosted engine. There are not very many N/A engines that can boast 1,000 hp short of some crazy 2.4L V-8 honda engine used in I think lmp or lola class cars:) (ex:RA807E 700+ na hp:D) (see it here: http://www.saf1.co.jp/ja/machine/sa/mchn_sa07.html)

So yesh boosted KA:)

I figured that it would be assumed that I am talking about boosted.

Shoving a feather in your butt does not make you a turkey, and throwing a turbo on a non turbo car, does not change the plate on the engine bay. Its still a ka24de.
