I'm sorry if this has been asked 1000 times before, but i swear i searched and couldn't find what i needed.

I was just wondering what all was needed for the swap, and if there's a thread/website you guys could point me to for instructions. I've heard that you need a different gague cluster if you have a SOHC car (which i do), is this true? if so, do you just need one from a DOHC 240? anyway, thanks in advance.

dude seriously stop lying you never searched, the cluster is a generic question SOHC 240's need to convert to DOHC when doing DOHC motor swap such as CA18DET, SR20DET, KA24DE(T) you'll need dohc cluster and dohc power steering lines. Its amazing you do realize theres a sticky right above this thread guess what it says? "Read this before posting"

Dude, there is no reason to be a d!ck to me. you say that the gague cluster thing is common knowledge, but the thing is, since it is common knowledge it isn't usually explicitly stated, i didn't know that you needed it for all DOHC swaps. I seriously did search, i wasn't bullsh!tting, because i know that someone like you would give me **** no matter what. I looked at the sticky and it didn't say specifically what i needed. SORRY if I should have known, delete the thread if you want, whatever.

Seriously tho, thanks for refering me to http://www.ca18det.org, i didn't know it existed, and now that i do, i'll stop bugging you guys.

Alright, ease up on the newb. You were new once too, although I think I was mean to you too... no wait, I'm mean to you all the time! LOL!

N053B133D, if Pumaking didn't run you off, I understand that our search function can be a bit hard to understand. Unfortunatly, it's the best we can do and still have a safe and secure site.

Your questions seem to have been answered, but if you have any more questions, please feel free to post!

and once again for future search attempts, choose both recent and archived content (requires searching twice) and choose message bodies instead of just topic titles, or whatever the option is.. the default settings are dumbtarded.

haha don't give up on us yet! take some time to look around my site ^ and read through the old archives here on Nico. Some of us jump the gun when a new guy asks a question that feels so simple to us guys who have been working on 240's and CA18's for awhile. It'd be like if someone asked you "When making a PB&J sandwich, what else do I need besides bread"...

welcome to the CA forum man!-Sean
