I got tagged with modification of exhaust (VC 27151 B) and no emissions systems (VC 27156 B). Exhaust has been put back to stock and emissions system has been re-installed.

What i need to know is will they do a visual inspection on my emissions to see that i have installed it and thats it, or will they make me do a smog test to show that it is present and working?

my issue is that my check engine light stays lit like a bums crackpipe, which is an automatic smog test fail. so if they smog it im going to have to pull out my cluster and disable the check engine light bulb. if its visual im good to go.

The intake resonator thing is the big one underneath the intake pipe. The small one I think goes to the manifold?

I might be lying. It might connect to a T-fitting or something.

If that is the line that is ~1" OD, that would be the line that runs to the air regulator valve which you can see under the plenum runners toward the firewall.
