CA R32 and R34 owners

i have a 240sx and i was thinking its about upgrade time so i was looking into the r32 cuz i really like the car but ive seen a few r34's on the roads with Ca plates so i know it can be done. Man cali is crazy with the whole smog thing so i was looking for a good importer or place to by a street legal skyline already here in Ca.. i got taken for $2500 bucks for a S15 so i was looking for someone that has already got a car from the guy before. i read the other posts but nothing to helpful. anyone please

You're best bet is to find either an older MotorEx R32. The R33 is the only one that can be legally done, so you might want to do some research into this before you go tossing money into a car that might end up not being legal.

Look around here in the Skyline forum, there is a lot of good information for those willing to search for it. The stickies up top have a couple of good threads to start with.

I believe R32 and R34 is illegal. it's included R32 motorex cuz he passed only R33 skyline.

There were a few R32s and R34s that were grandfathered. Now, though, you run the risk of bringing in those cars.

And just because you see some on the streets doesn't mean they are federally legal...

The R33 could be another option since a lot of them in CA are legal.

I'm not sure about R32's. I know that R33's can be legally imported, and I also know that there is pretty much no possible way to import an R34. Sad but true
