We got the motor running. It runs well but it smokes on idle, we checked the plugs and no oil so were thinking its the turbo. Could it be the turbo leaking oil out the exaust side or is it something else? Need Help Please!

If it's the stock T25, then start there.

if the turbo seals were bad, shouldn' it smoke all the time not just at idle?

Sometimes they are just bad "Point Blank". A kinked oil return would cause it to smoke as well, but I seriously doubt that's the case with your turbo. Unless you bought the turbo new and even then, the turbo is possibly the main culprit behind the smoke.

Maybe your intake butterfly valves are very dirty from oil crud. Like in my other thread on them, the main reason we took down the head is that it was smokin a little during start-up.
