ok, i have checked all the usual things:timed, spark plugs replaced, fpr installed/set to 36 psidespite this my ca is still running like crap. it starts, but is hesitent. it drives but acceleration is non-existent. when in nuetral it revs and boosts but seems hesetent again. i checked for vaccum leaks by holding my hand over the maf, but it died instantly so thats not it. i decided to check on my vaccum lines, one of the fiew things i didnt do myself, and they were a mess. there was no butterfly valve control solenoid, delay valve or vacuum tank. i dont think you need these just to run the engine right but otherwise the vaccum lines just seem out of order. heres my diagram:any help would be appreceated! thanks-alex

does it get better when its warmed up or no?

for Vacuum lines besides the brake booster, there should be one for the FPR and Butterfly Valves that go to the manifold by where the brake booster line connects. Then You have the one on the side of the manifold which looks like you have that put to the BOV. Other than that, there isn't really anymore vacuum lines (atleast on mine).

You need to verify that the plugs arent soaked w/ fuel now that it has been run several times w/ vac leaks.

did you very your mechanical timing is set properly?

mechanical timing is good (ie second mark from left on crank pully = 0deg tdc)how do i verify the plugs arn't soaked?also if they are do i need new ones or can i just "dry them out"...

pull the plugs n see if their wet with gas sounds like your not firing on all cylinders disconect one coil at a time a c if it makes a difference if no change is made than that coilpack is bad do this with car off for each one also check the coils out pull the boots off n check the spring n contact to ensure its making contact with the top of the plug n is clean. last make sure you have a good ground to the coils the ground on my coils came un soldered n had to re solder it but a good ground is important in and can make your car run bad

before you do any experiementing, pull the plugs in there and put some fresh NGK coppers. That will rule 1 thing out and likely is needed anyway.

then it is either in your IC piping, your timing belt(gotta pull the timing cover off to check this), or a coil issue.

PS could be a shot in the dark, but the CTS(coolant temp sensor) could be your issue as well.

will check coils nd injectors tomorrow, and i have new spark plugs so thats not the problem. also gonna check all my grounds. maybe i should also check the cam timing, cause it could be a bad belt. how would i go about doing this? time to search...

OK so i unpluged the coils and it looks like cylnder 3 is the problem. I pulled the coil and it was sparking just fine, so the coil/plug is not the problem. when the plug was out i didnt smell gas so tomorrow ill pull the injectors and check them out

Sounds like you've got it narrowed down. If, in fact, the #3 isn't firing, there are only 4 things that can cause that. 1. Bad injector (least likely)2. Bad dropping resistor (most likely)3. Bad wiring (2nd most likely)4. Bad ECU (about as likely as a bad injector)

what is a dropping resistor? and the wiring was done by a shop so maybe i should get them to look at it

It's needed for low impedance injectors. It's basically a group of 4 resistors (one for each injector) to lower the current going back to the ECU.

i went under my hood to look for the resistor pack, and it wasnt there. i followed the whole harness and it was not there, this is strange because i saw it before i gave it to a shop to wire up.

Was wondering if your issue was ever resolved? I've been running into very similar issues with my swap.
