CA motor mounts

I don't actually have a CA, and im not really planning on getting one, but I figured if any one on here would have info on this it would be you guys....

Im looking to lower my engine, mostly for strut tower bar clearance(though a lower engine doesn't sound like a bad thing.

Ive been searching like hell for motor mount options and have found that the CA mounts sit the engine lower then KA mounts. My plan is to use the NISMO CA mounts on my KA to make it sit lower. I read all kinds of posts from people still using KA mounts on their CA so it seems like it would work, but the mounts are angled at each other, and placing the engine lower seems like it would require slightly wider mounting points on the engine...

I guess Im just looking for opinions on if people would think it will work and any info on if the CA's ever have problems mounting on KA mounts. Ive been searching for almost a week now and have found no info on KA's on CA mounts, and don't really know who else would know an answer other then you guys that have dealt with CA mounts.

Any help or info would be appreciated.

If you're talking about mounting on ka mounts, I had no problems. Maybe it was the design of the strut bar i Had. But even with CA NISMO mounts i didnt have problems with the motor hitting the bar(very close though)

I was looking to get NISMO KA mounts but have a greddy bar that sits so close now it cracked the plastic cover for the injector harness (granted that probably because the mounts are so shot). I hear so much about how the NISMO mounts are actualy designed for an SR, and sit slighly higher then stock KA ones. I searched around a bit and found CA mounts sit the engine lower, so I wanted to use CA motor mounts to lower my KA motor.

Also any one know the height differance between a motor on KA mounts and a motor on CA mounts? ( gotta make sure the oilpan wont be hitting the crossmember or anything)

I use Cusco motor mounts and a Cusco Type ST strut bar. Everything works great. I used the factory KA mounts for awhile, and they were fine, but most of them are worn out.

yeah, my KA's mounts are SHOT real bad....But even with the stock mounts I have between 1/4-1/8 inch clearance between valve cover and STB. I also like the idea of lowering the engine if its a possibility...

Damn, I kinda figured I wouldn't get any good info on this one but I was hoping I was wrong
