Hey guys,

I'm trying to hook up the lower harness and these plugs don't make sense to me. The motor is a manual transmission, but plug E202 seems to be missing, and what looks like plug E205 is (spliced in) there, but E205 is meant to be only on automatic cars. E201 is also missing. There are also three bare wires as shown.

Apparently the car (clip I got it from) was previously running with all the current wiring, but I don't see how all the sensors can run through the two plugs shown. What info do E201 and E202 send?

Can anyone indentify the wires or what's supposed to be going on in this pic?

The Green/Blue and Green White is your reverse sensor, its the sensor that flicks on your reverse lights.

Green/Yellow no clue might be neutral switch.

Yeah I thought the three of those might be it... or the 4th and 5th sensors.

Do you know what plug they'd go to normally?

Both e203 and e204 plug right in at the fuse box right next to the battery.

What I did with E205 is cut the plug off. There is a gray plug that has 7 wires that comes out of the fuse box. It's an eight wire plug but it only has 7 wires. If you still have your ka lower harness, cut that plug off the ka harness that plugged into that 7 wire plug. Leave some wire on there so you can match up the wires. The wires that are on E205 connect those wires onto the ka lower harness plug that you have cut off. Then all you have to do is match up the wires on the plug that has 7 wires to the ka lower harness plug that you cut off. This is the best way I can explain it. Hope this helps.

you dont have to cut the wires, just depin it and when your ready repin it.

To depin just remove the green part with a tiny screw driver. Then insert the screw driver through the pin holes and they should just pop out, repinning is easier than depinning.

Also I forgot to mention the Yellow/blue and Yellow/Black is for your speedo.

What I did was just wire everything straight to their parts. For example Reverse straight to reverse lights, speedo striaght to cluster. Makes for a cleaner less hassle install.

Ok, the depinning shouldn't be a problem. Do all the wire colours match up? I've got 9 wires without a home and the plug you're taking about has 7 pins... what happens with the two wires left over?

My only concern is that the knock sensor on the KA harness in on the EFI harness, not the lower one... how do you work around that?

I'm going to ty to use the CA lower haness, and put on the plug from the KA. I'll probably just end up routing the spare wires to the ECU individually.

The knock sensor wire is on the main engine harness. It's 23 on the ecu.

Let me know what all wires you have to be hooked up.

Thanks a bunch!

You can see the loose wires that need to be hooked up in the pic, but perhaps you can't see all the secondary colours.

Let's hope green/orange is what I see as Green/yellow!

Do the colours match up on the plug in the engine room harness as well?
