ca keeps backfiring on deceleration

i was driving my ca 240 its been built for about 5000 miles gt28r turbo,15psi, fuel pump, FPR, chipped and a few other things. i was driving home from work and it started popping out the exaust every time i let off then about 20 mins later it started getting louder and shooting a 3 foot flame out everytime i left off about 3500 rpm dosnt mater if the engine in braking the car or the clutch is in car still runs great making good power idles fine

Are you running your BOV vented?

If so that will cause it to run really rich on initial decel causing said back fires.

your running rich. the back fire is unburnt fuel in your exhaust.

now is time to figure out where and why you are over fueling.

how old are your plugs? Also may want to check and make sure your CAS hasnt taken away some timing.

Sounds like a sticking atomospheric BOV to me. Can you cap it off and see if it makes a difference?

Isn't it awesome? I mean if you can tell you got 3 foot flames during the day, at night your going to have a hell of a show.

haha yea its rich as hell like 12.5:1 i just put pistons and rods in it and ported my head with cams and i was running it rich till i broke it in but i almost dont wanna fix it haha ive got it figured out now to where i can make it do it when i want almost made a mini van go into the ditch they where so scared haha

12.5:1 at what point?????????? Idle, wot, 1/2 throttle?

12.5 wide open more rich at part and idle but till i can get it to the dyno this weekend im not gonna play with it

12.5 at WOT isnt even close to rich......... even NA.
