I have a 1985 CA18ET. What will I need to put it into a 1990 240sx?

if it's a fwd transmission then good luck. I don't know if it is possible.

is it from a 200sx turbo? You realize stock it only has 135hp.

Granted you can throw on an intercooler and boost controller, but it still wont be very powerful. I think stock boost was 5psi. A newer turbo might help too. Also I hear Euro cams will free up a little more hp.

I think motor mounts were in a different spot for s12 vs s13. I would check though.

If you still want to try it, youll need the engine, transmission, wiring harness, and ecu, plus whatever nick-nacks are needed for any other engine swap.

If you can find a s12 with the ca20e you could use the turbo parts on it and possibly get a little more horse power out of it.

More info can be found here: http://www.club-s12.org/

I would recomend selling it to one of the members on the club-s12 forum and buying a ca18det. But that's only my opinion.

the only CA18ET came in RWD s12's

the single cam CA is a crappy little motor, but you can use either s12 or s13 mounts if you really want to put it in your s13. the main question is why? KA24E is a better choice (as sad as that is) a stock CA is almost hard to justify in my mind over a twin cam KA to be honest!

also, the transmission is a different length (about 3 inches shorter) so you have to make either a combo CA bellhousing with KA transmission, or find a CA18DET transmission to thow in there.
