I've searched for this countless times, but I've yet to find an answer. I was looking at the XS intercoolers and saw that they had a CA specific intercooler! So why does everyone use an S14 SR intercooler, when they already have one made for the CA? Anyone have any insight? Or maybe suggest another brand with that good of a price?

Thanks,
Gabriel.

i got one and the cold pipe that attaches to the intake manifold seems like an afterthought. it pops off every time the motor is under load and I'm using the stock t25 at stock boost levels. not worth the cash in my opinion spend a few more bucks and get something like the Powered by Max s14 sr20det high mount kit, if you are not using the ac in the car. they were cool enough to send me the s14 cold pipe and the hot pipe for the t25.

S14 SR and CA18DET have high port throttlebodys, S13 SR had low port.

CA kit is just S14 SR piping after the intercooler, S13 SR piping before the intercooler. They used to not have CA kits from the Chinese ebay manufacturers so people would just get the S14 SR kit because the intercooler to throttlebody piping was harder to replicate with generic piping and couplers if you got the S13 kit than just buying the S14 kit and peiceing together the hot side with a CA18 OEM hotpipe or Greddy hotpipe with preinstalled flange for BOV. The only truly different "CA18DET" kit I've ever seen is the Blitz kit with piping specific to the S13 Silvia non popup headlight radiator/headlight bracket hole setup and running the pipe through open holes there.

That's what I need! I have a legit Silvia. No pop up lights! I'm just looking to pick up an intercooler that bolts right up.
