Does anyone know if its possible to use a CA18DET ignitor on a S13/ redtop SR20DET?

Ifso, can you help me out with wiring stuff?

Im not sure about the Ca Ignitor but i want to say ya it will work. as for the rest of your questions should be answered here at this site HERE

Q45 ignitor chip will work - and it's probably cheaper/easier to find than a CA18 ignitor. But it does not just plug in. You have to splice in the wires. So when you get it from the junk yard you need to cut it out, not just unplug it.

I already have the CA18 ignitor, I only need to know if this will work on the SR20 and how to wire it...

we got it to work... it's the same has a Q45 ignitor. ignitors are just like amplifiers. if you know how to measure a amp then you can hook it up... just need to make sure your ecu is lined up with the right coilpack so it won't misfire. and make sure you have a decent ground. my problem was I had bad coilpacks. they were not giving spark, but they did get hot.thanks for the help
