went to the track, after two runs (in a row) i pulled off to wait my turn in line again and the car started to idle at 4 grand. also transmission noise is back.

im throwing 13 which i think is TPS code, but would that make it idle like that? i was throwing it before the event and it idled fine.....

88 pulsar tps will work?

thanks for ANY help as i am completly lost, matt

my car is throwin a code 13 too, it recently did that after i swapped the temp sensor from a single cam KA motor, the one i had before was a red topped plug, the one i am currently using is yellow topped. my temp sensor fluctuates from opperating temp to Cold depending on what RPM i am at, also my car will not idle, it tends to die out right after comming down from boost.

im almost positive the dohc ka temp sensor is red, maybe try that? also matt, this kinda sounds dumb but did u check to see if for some reason the tb is stuck open? my car did this like 2 weeks ago and the cable was kinda binding up i guess, so i lubed it and it was good to go

I have seen the ca18det engine temp sensor have two colors on few occassions red and some time yellow.

TPS will work from a ca18de not ca16de, the ca16de doesn't have the lower plug that the det have.

try disconnecting your battery for a minute then plug it back in and see if that helps. Also, check if the tps connector is uplugged or damaged

i just got my swap running and i too threw a code 13 with my SOHC temp sensor, idles fine but dies after coming to a stop from boost, i also have a wierd transmission noise with the boot off i hear a squeaking....could it be the new exedy KA clutch on the old CA flywheel? i did hit the flywheel up with some scotch bright.but then i noticed coolant spewing from the hard line into the intake manifold (came out of the manifold attached to the line) should i tap it back in with a hammer or what? JB weld? IDK not trying to hijack your thread but i have alot of the same problems

thanksDk
