only reason i asked, because i have 2 12" fans and i think its overkill. im hoping i can get away with 1... 2 fans draw some amperage.

im running a stock koyo rad too with nismo rad cap.

im using the stock a/c fan wired to a switch on dash and it DOES draw alot of amperage, but it works great for now until i get a better one.

have a KA radiator(about a year old now) with twin flex-o-lite 12" fans. I figured that since titan uses them on their sub 6 sec cars..... that it should be more than enough for me too.

I def could get away with less, but it looks SOOOOOO clean and moves the air so well I couldnt possibly change it.

are you using one of the aluminum bladed fans? The one with no shroud?

Im running the same slim twin flex-a-lites as Gabby, except on custom made cooper rad and 0.9bar crappy old rad cap (need to upgrade). Never had a single overheating issue except for the day I installed them as I hadn´t found the sweetspot on the thermal controller at the time. They do drain a lot of amperage/volts when on but it is practical setup, specially with the old shroud out of the way.

Yeah, and I'm still running the stock fan shroud. Gotta watch your hands!

sometimes i like to sit on the radiator support, so its not my hands i'd have to be watching!

ah cool.

I'm going semi v-mount, so no shroud for me but I think that fan alone will be plenty. And my rad is a aluminum 3" dual pass core so I should be ok, i hope.

Dual fans (one unit with two side-by-side fans in it) from late 80s-ish Maxima. Relayed on with MK2 S12 AC thermoswitch that goes inline on top rad hose (KA24E as well?). Perfect temp all the time and fans dont put much strain on the alt. Not that I ever noticed anyway.

In a S12 BTW

I ran Altima fans, then a single 16" 3000CFM Zirgo then twin 12" Mishimoto. Honestly, I saw the best results with the single 16" Zirgo (Be Cool) fan. And it looked the best.

Stock SOHC KA radiator with the electric fan out of a dodge caravan (14"?). People always gave me trouble about my cooling system, but I NEVER had a hint of a problem with over heating.

Don't fix it if it ain't broke.

true...i just figured what i have is overkill. car takes so long to warm up, because they are run on constant. i need to stop being lazy and wire up a thermo switch.
