Your machinist is right to be concerned. He knows it's a no go and if he does the part and it explodes on you he is liable. Get another flywheel.

You could check out our classifieds, but not too much CA stuff is there. Craigslist or E-bay maybe

Our busines charges $45 per a grind, as well as most other shops around here. I did mine for free just a couple of days ago

no, no, no, no, no. im curious, where did you get that info?

your not the first one who has mentioned that, but im not sure where it came from, because all the write ups on using the sr flywheel/clutch clearly state to use a hoodless, gear reduction starter from an 86 200sx.

including the write up in the stickies on top of the page that float and others have taken time to write, that no one ever reads.

when i first ripperd apart my ca i put a thing up here need a flywheel. that was probbly early december. i asked about the sr flywheel, back then when i asked i got a couple answers. from what i see its relitively the same price ca to sr flywheel, just sr's are easyer to find. try buying one of someone off here or go with a after market ca, i think im goign to order a drift works one from england, its probbly less headachs to stick with the ca flywheel. it seems like no one knows for sure if it will work.ryan

i was saying no to using the sr starter, not the other stuff.

here is a sr spec blitz on a ca. will work with either ca starter, stock det, or the hoodless

here is a stock sr flywheel, notice you cant see the ring gear? that would be why you need the hoodless s12 starter, the hooded one hits that spot of the flywheel.

AND I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, AND AGAIN, ALL THIS INFO IS AVAILABLE IN THE LINKS LOCATED IN THE STICKIES AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE THAT FLOAT AND OTHERS HAVE WORKED SO HARD TO PUT TOGETHER.

NO ONE EVER READS THEM, THEN POSTS THE SAME QUESTIONS OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND THE THREADS GET FILLED WITH FALSE INFO.
