CA exhaust noise law

For anyone who hasn't heard, Gray Davis sighned a bill into law in Sept. allowing drivers with modified exhaust systems to have their cars tested to prove that they meet noise standards. No word yet on cost, but the implications are interesting. The bill may make it more difficult for cops to pull you over because your exhaust is too loud, then go through your entire car listing violations. I don't know how this is going to affect Honda drivers with 8inch coffee cans. I'm going to be checking into costs and where the testing will be available, I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear more.
