these look pretty nice and they say they have a video of them starting it up. I would have probably bid on it if i didnt have one coming from Boost boy. They show pics of 2 different clips, wonder what thats about.

They have two different clips. Winner picks.

I was hoping this auction was gonna go pretty unnoticed and without a bid-war...not anymore though.:(:slap

I emailed them... no website up yet, says "under construction." they want 70 bucks per 100 pounds to ship.I'd love to have that white clip, seems like a good deal with all the body parts there. If I had my loan check in hand I'd be bidding away... does say "other payment options can be worked out" but I don't know what that is about.

Maybe after they sell the first one they will put the second one up and I'll have some cash to cover my bids. I'm hoping it will go relatively cheaply.

The panels don't come with the clip. They charge extra for them.

RefriedNismo240, it's OK, I understand. I'm not mad or anything...it's a public auction, you can tell whoever you want...I just wish you hadn't!:asmile

yeah I emailed them about the panels, they want extra to keep the panels... just would add weight for shipping anyway.

I'm still leery of ebay motors. Does ebay really protect you if it doesn't run well? I kinda thought it was more just along the lines of you making sure that you get the item.

I just emailed the seller, with a few questions...here are some interesting answers: group buys can be worked out and there are more CA motors in stock...I don't think anyone has really done business with this shop before though...so after a short while, someone should try to contact the winning bidder of this auction so that we can find out how reliable this seller is. After some credibility is established it seems there would be some good interest in a group motor buy.;) i definitely am anyway...

I plan on bidding once I'm back in the us (2 days) so if I win I'll be sure to post feedback.

Hmm I was checking up on the feedback for that seller.... the only two seller feedbacks he has are both for engines but both from ebay users with 0 feedback, ie its possible they were generated...Doesn't mean don't do business but defintly use caution.

this importer is only a 6 hour drive away from me. When it's time to buy one I will drive down to see one.

The one clip must be a euro engine. All the CA18's in Japan had a pignose didn't they?

I'm not real convinced about the validity of this company or the motors. I know that you have to get a start somehow, but the only selling they've done is for 2 motors to 2 users with no history. Something about that just strikes me wrong. NICO members, please be wary...

I also e-mailed him for the video....got no response on that, but I did get a response about other CA18DET clips they have in stock with a phone #.

Anyone get the compression data or leakdown data they claim to have???

The white clip definatly isn't a european clip. In the euro 91-94 S13's frount bumper there are black outlets infrount of the popup headlights to allow washerfluid to be sprayed to clean the headlight lenses when up. They have very strick laws in England at least about the cleanlyness of the windsheild and headlights. This is due to wintertime when they sand the roads and it builds up on the car affecting visablity. Just letting you know.

Hmm, that's really strange. I wonder where that clip is from then. Australia maybe??

There also in Canada. I would never bid on an engine from Canada.

That's kinda narrow minded.

Well, give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he has a reason? Like the weather conditions possibly causing a lot of corrosion or problems with customs or something.
