Ok, as of now i have the CA sitting on the motor mounts and its about 1/2 inch too far forward to be able to bolt the crossmember on but im sure when i get time to work on it again tomorrow i'll be able to get that 1/2 inch somehow. However, i know that my engine is not completely mounted but by the looks of it, there is no way in hell the hood will clear when i put it back on. I have never heard of this being a problem but i do have some nismo motor mounts on there and didn't check them to see if they were any taller at all. Has anyone else ever heard of hood clearance problems or am i just crazy?

I dont know if you'll have problems, but the NISMO mounts make the motor sit higher. I dont see you having too much of a problem closing the hood hopefully.

Eh, just shut the hood...if somethin breaks or you dent the hood then you know there's a problem...if theres a problem the take a hammer and knock the hood out....aesthetics dont matter :D

I was taking some more looks at it tonight and i don't think i even wanna put the hood on and try because im pretty sure its not gonna fit. I did discover one more problem though...it turns out that when i was taking the crossmember off i musta stripped hte **** out of one of the bolts. I was bolting it on today and one of the holes i can stick the bolt in and out of with no thread engagement at all. If i can get that taken care of fairly quickly tomorrow im pretty sure i'll get the chance to fire it up.

One of my KA transmission crossmember bolts was stripped...hard as hell to get it out, it'd just turn. Whoever did it last needs to die.

No...everything is lined up and ready to go. What i did was, when i had the motor out i went ahead and tightened the mounts down to save me some trouble trying to reach in and get at those bastards but it turns out that didn't leave enough play in the motor to get it lined up. So when i loosened those up everything moved fairly freely and its all bolted up with the exception of the stripped out crossmember bolt. I'm gonna bust *** today to see if i'll need to pick up anything before 5 and every place closes and hopefully i'll get the chance to fire it up tonight.
