I heard from needca and nismo1182 to talk to boost boy. I see you live in Miami which would be pretty easy to get. I love in Orlando. I wana keep it cheap but dont want to F around with broken crap. so more money for quality is fine. The swap wont be for a month or two so dont start writing my name down yet. k thanks.

Bro, I'm just the middle man and the inspector. I won't advise anything to anyone that I wouldn't touch myself. I don't get paid for doing this and don't want to. I just happen to love the motor and think that it's a great platform to build upon or just enjoy for a fraction of the money spent on boosting a KA24 or buying an SR. I don't know about you guys, but I adore performance engines that are easily serviced (ie RB20DET, RB25DET, RB26DETT and the CA18DET). They all use belts are very identical in design and characteristics! This is my personal preference as it's not my money being spent! You have the final say, so technically i'm a nobody who's already got his piece of the pie;). And don't worry bro, I won't write your name down until you're ready and even then...........

alright man they just gave me your name. So i guess your near a shop that imports the engines? Can you e-mail me ( [email protected]) with the info so i can contact the seller or give me a price guess? I'm actually going to be in Miami this coming tuesday- friday. I'll be working in a condo on south beach most of the afternoon but if the shop is anywhere close i might be able to stop by and ask some questions. thanks for any help. Mike

Prolink is probably the most aggressive shop when it comes to these motors. I have a friend that sells motors and recently returned from Japan, but his news RWD CA18's wasn't good, so he only has a FWD/4WD CA18 coming.

I was going to call you about that, i guess this answered my question.

My friend is still looking for a CA. If you come across a good one, give me a call.

I feel like a complete dumbass. I truely don't know a whole lot about these engines but somehow i got the idea that ca18det's were only rwd... damn.. i sent out an order to venus auto yesterday for one and i didn't specify the drive train.

iliketocrash its probly rwd. thats the most common, i would expect if they have different kinds they would have asked you at some point. just like most SR20DET's are RWD as oposed to the sentra fwd one.

If this include a complete wire harness, afm and injector resistor I would say this is an excellent deal!

looks to me like the intercooler piping is missing, and they didn'[t unbolt it, they just cut it. I'd question whether the harness was cut as well,
