you can use your 89-94 240sx 5 speed Ka driveshaft, just use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the dust over on the end of the transmission so it will fit properly. Replace the CA transmission dust cover thingy with one from the ka. It will all fit perfectly. No problemo.

Find a new mechanic. Dude, the driveshafts slide in and out the exact same way.

sounds like your ka driveshaft is missing a piece?

the 'bundle of brackets' on the shaft near the transmission isnt really supposed to come apart.. youre just supposed to unbolt (4 bolts) from teh diff, then the center carrier (2 bolts), then slide it out of the transmission... promptly getting covered with the transmission fluid you forgot to drain first.

go slide the rest of it out of your old KA transmission and rebolt it to the shaft, then knock off the CA dust cover

there is pics now. does the ca yoke slide out of transmission, maybe just swap the ka to it. i believe they have a splined shaft that just pushes in to transmission maybe?

That yoke should pull off and slide out of the CA transmission. It looks like your KA was an auto though, your gonna need a manual KA driveshaft, then everything will bolt right up.

Because my KA driveshaft never looked that like that.

My driveshaft looked exactly like your CA cut section.
