? #1- car wont idle correctly until it warms up. could it be the electric fans being on constant?

#2- is this wire useful for anything? also my heater fan and defrost is not working what is not hooked up correctly.

#3- i need to know what this outlet hooks to. it is def a vacuum. its right below throttle body and above alternator

#4- what does this outlet hook to.? its behind the block coming by 02 sensor.

but other than that the car runs good. these few things just bother me. also what catch can diagram is the best to run all around.

thanks-jared

Looks like the plug is for the knock sensor? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. SUPER clean AS5 engine bay! I LOVE IT! Isn't that the IACV valve by the alternator?? I'm thinking the one by the O2 sensor is the AIV hookup.

#3 is cold start idle stuff. thats why it sucks cold.

gets constant 12V (when engine on) on one pin and gnd on the other the top end outlet goes to the intake manifold (there's a similarly sized inlet there) and the other end goes to the cold pipe before the TB.

See Sec 148 and Sec 144.

Section 144 just shows you where the secondary air system (aka idle stuff) plumbs into the coldpipe (it'll be marked with an arrow and 'SEC 148').

Section 148 shows you how the secondary air system is hooked up.

thanks, very useful sight. i will have to add an inlet into the cold pipe somehow. on other hand i did not know the ca came with aiv. the metal pipe near the o2 must have been hooked to that. ill just cap that off.

metal pipe by the o2? you mean the one that runs behind the head? there's a big one and a tiny one that run by there

The big one is RHD/JDM heater connection to heater core, the small one is filtered ambient air (not vac/boost) source for the butterfly control mess, and would plumb into the pre-turbo intake pipe right after the MAF, right next to the breather tube fitting.

Section 223 / Section 165

oh right, forgot about that. there's also the small coolant return line there..

I love this engine but seriously it could use some simplifications! :P

alright so everything is cleared up, but my heat and defrost arent working i need to check if something came unplugged. is this typical with swap. i def need heat. do any of you recommend where to check first. the climate control does have power. the lights come on the buttons, but i dont hear the blower kick in.

Go download the FSM (for your car originally, not the CA one) and go look at the circuit diagram for the heater system, specifically the blower motor. There should also be troubleshooting stuff in there.

Probably something's not connected right or a fuse is blown.

I would definatly check fuses before you went to a lot of trouble. IIRC when I took appart a G20, to get the button push system for the HVAC, all the things ran to one power wire and spliced together. Did the buttons work before?
