Hi Guys

I gotta a question as usual

I just finished rebuilding my CA with Supertech pistons and other goodies but my everlasting problem came back, I thought it was bad luck but I have replaced about 4 injectors cause they were getting stuck, last time i got some 390s from eclipse but again one the freacking injectors sticks and the car runs on 3 cylinders

im breaking in the engine and im drving it around, sometimes runs ok but other times runs on 3 cyls, what would happen if i keep drinving it on 3 cyls can my new pistons get f*** or something?

I thinking it might be a problem with the lines that plugged into the injectors or the connectors but not sure any help would be appreciated!!!!

thanks!!

I truly believe that it's not your injector that's failing, but something else. Manually activate the injector with 12volts (+/-) and the injector should fire. If it does, then the injector is not the issue and you may want to start looking at other components; maybe even wiring.

i actually had the same problem
check for restistance from the injector to the ECU
i suspect that the donut grommet in your firewall might of given way, and ate a few wires

i lost one injector and sounded like a subaru, so i hotwired it, and then lost another, after hotwiring them it runs awesome.

good luck

Hey guys im still working on my injectors problems, gotta separate question!

I checked the compression now after the built and I got 125 PSI per cilynder, this worries me a little cause never thought it was gonna be that low, now I used supertech pistons 43.5 so im not sure if its supposed to be like that or just f*** somewhere on the build.
Any ideas or thoughts, ive checked the web to find some info on supertech Ca builds but no answers, the CA feels fine but im still breaking it in

Thanks

Base compression should not be that low on an over-sized piston kit. Something was done wrong or your compression tester is faulty.

Ill test it again tomorrow with another tester and hopefully will mark different, funny thing is that we rebuilt a ka and got really low compression too, could it be something they did at the machine place? the cometic gasket aint that thick to cause that eather.

As far as the injectors problem I found out my coolant sensor was bad and its giving me crap, also replaced the camshaft position sensor with another one I had, so disconnected the coolant sensor and the position sensor and no more 3 cils so i dont really whats with that.

Apparently the temp sensor is the same for SR20, VG30 and CA18s willl repolace it tomorrow
