A little car dealer down the block has a "mechanics special" 88 pulsar se with a CA18DE in it. Im a 240SX guy, but I need something that is front wheel drive to get around in the snow (even with lsd, rear wheel drive is annoying. Do-able, but annoying). Anyways, they only want 700 bucks for the thing, because the transmission doesn't go into first gear. The rest of the car is acually really clean etc etc. To my point. Will an s13 CA18DET block swap out with the FWD version? If so do you guys think it is worth it for 700 bucks starting???

Yes you can use a RWD CA18DET block in a pulsar if that's what you're asking, but you'll need to put the FWD's A/C and alternator bracket onto the DET block, move the RWD's T-body to the other end and a few other little things to boot.
