My car blows black smoke like a deasel with a programer! many have told me that it is a gas problame. I just had to gap the plugs about a week before all this started to hapen. Plugs had sighns of running rich, but when i give the car some throtale and the boost starts to build the thing acts like its about to die,and thane the smoke comes pooring out . Checked the intake tube and there is blow bye ,of oil in it.

Signs of it running retarded rich, check fuel pressure, clean maf and do you know when you o2 was last replaced? What kind of "/hg do you pull at idle?

Running rich

But you say theres blow by in the intake. So it maybe that your turbo, piston rings or head gasket are letting oil past.

its a common reason of running rich though. im suprised my coldpipe doesn't leak..i have electrical tape blocking a 1.5" hole...

Or is it because that would most likely be a vac leak...

Not a vacume leak know that forsure.Talked to a freand with a rb and his has the same problame, the info he gave me was one of the three problams that i thought, I mean I dont know a crazy amount about ca moters, but im ase cert.. and ive had plenty of built cars. The logistincs of it is that a catch can would eleminate the little bit of oil in the intake tube, but when i had to regap the $50.00 plugs theay had sighns of the car running rich. Now the bad thing. There is only one guy in montgomery that seems that he can tune the moter, actually i know he can , but he has a waiting list from hell, and he is outragous. So ive pretty mich narrowed it down to fuel problame. Ow yea I drove it yesterday and it drove fine for about 500 feet parked it at the shop, when i was going back home i gave it some gas, well actually i nailed it and it started again. The head gaskets dont leak , and besides this problame , and my clutch , the car runs mint. Ow yea the car seems to run remarkable well in the mornings aposed to in the afternoons, yes I know colder is better , but it hasent even goten really hot heir yet, so im really looking forward to that.

check for codes in Mode III.. Also check the resistance in the injectors..one or more could be leaking. timing could be off. and by "/hg, CA Silvia meant to ask what your vacuum is at idle (should be between 17-21" Hg.) coilpacks/ignitor could be going on the frits as well possible? also, check your fuel pressure

dont go to a tuner to have your car tuned though, as if there is a problem with your vehicle (ie. sensors or malfunctioning parts) its pointless and will leave you with more headaches.

Car is running good after cleaning the mafs, the o2 sensor, and the plenum on the back of the intake manifold. Found out that my tune was corupt thou. Thanks for all the info .
