Ok so I think Ive only posted for sombody else once before trying to help sell a car but here I am doing it again. A friend of mine's KA blew up so he has now opted for a CA swap. Swaps done, car runs great and drives fine with no issues (not even smoking from original turbo :wtf2: ). Well with Adam's KA-T plans are now blown to bits, no pun intended, and I was asked my opinion of the 3071, since he already has it, for a CA. Great part is, I have no experience with a 3071r t2 on the CA, I just remember that the 3076 t3 (.86 iirc tho) was a little laggy on an SR for my preference. Before I misinform him in anyway what are you guys opinions on the t2 3071r .64 int w/g (Uhg, why cant big power ppl go big turbo and stop half as*ing it).

I personally don't see the problem with him using said turbo as long as he doesn't half-@ss the engine management system which usually gives the CA a bad rep among would-be tuners/buyers. If you're not going to spend the loot to make the engine perform at an optimal level, who are you kidding? :tisk:

Ok now for my own insight, Ive been kinda turned off to t2 int w/g myself if trying to push any substantial. Im under the impression theyre bad to choke. I was tossing around the idea of moving from my 2871 to a t2 20g and going Tial 38mm to stop choking since Im shooting for the 400whp mark. waste of time? good idea?

That map is as fat as Kirsty Alley's a**. Get an AR.64 hot side and enjoy the thrust.

Its installed on Adams car but not yet running. Ive just always been a skeptic of GT30xxR in a T2. i had always believed that they had problems choking, creeping and spiking. We'll see I guess.
