I was just wondering if the the american ca-18 that was in the old 200sx is as powerful as the jdm ca-18.

The old 200sx used a CA18T and the JDM version used a CA18T and then a CA18DET. Which model of cars are you really referring becaise the pulsar is the only car to receive a CA16/CA18DE.

the american 200sx used a single cam CA (CA18ET) that wasn't as powerful as the twin cam JDM CA motor (CA18DET)... the pulsar got a twin cam (non turbo CA18DE) CA that was basically the same as the non turbo Silvia motor, but even that had some internal differences (weaker rods, no crank girdle, etc...)

so no its not as powerful, the ca18et kinda sucks...
