ok so i've been on here along time, and lurked and blah, same as everyone else. lol. now i think its about time for my build since the snows gone. build started about two and half years ago when i got my s13 coupe on 4th of July. i got my car completely bone stock, with half assed emissions removal job done on it(thus i mean, blocked egr exhaust pipe, and every single vac line was blocked by a screw. also the driver seatbelt didnt move along the door, a/c didnt work and no stereo of any kind with either mounting brackets or cubby din, and only had 2 speakers.(ones in the door) i got her for 2700 :) kind of alot but the frame wasnt bent or rusted in any way, and chassis wasnt bent anywhere either. had all the complete interior and was dropped 1.5" on tokico blues, with ebay 3 piece strut bars, and egay steering wheel.. and steelies

so far mod list i've done on the car is as follows:
-oem mudflaps F & R
-oem spoiler (THANKS SPLINTERCELL!) <<<great seller :bigthumb:
-oem drilled trunk for spoiler w/ dynamat :bigthumb:
-piggy lip
-hid lights
-quick release
-tomei duracon shift knob
-20% tint all around
-Megan c-pillar bar
-j30 VLSD
-stance aluminum dif bushings
-megan toe rods
-circuit sports RUCA's
-custom intake with k&n filter
-battery relocated to trunk
-a/c removed
-complete removal and gaskets redone of intake and egr system removed with block off plate. (not half assed)
-custom exhaust
-driftworks adjustable exhaust bushings
-infinti i30 dual e-fans
-s14 seats
-q45 calipers w/ drilled and slotted rotors.
-altima rear big brake upgrade w/ x drilled and slotted rotors
- pbm oil filter relocation with cooler and stainless steel braided lines.
-broadway 270mm mirror
-drift e-brake knob
-megan street coils
-autometer pro-comp ultra-lite oil psi gauge

future plans for the car

i plan to boost the ka at 7-9 psi on stock internals, not a monster(yet havent decided). but something fun to drive as i'm still in college and on a college budget. lol i have two turbos, a t28 from and rb20 on the left, and a t3 from a 300zx on the right. Image

Image

some other turbo goodies :mike
25x12x3!Image

Image

hks turbo timer type-0
Image

i also plan on getting wheels for the car, so dont think i'm gona keep running the two different wheels. i plan on getting the xxr 527's in the 17x9.75's all around. the plan for the whole car is to just be a DD, with a little drifting, some spirited driving, and mountain runs.

Looks like a good start. I'll follow this, since you've posted in my thread a lot.

I would advise finding a different turbo though! RB20 turbo takes too much fab to make it work, and the 300ZX T3 is just well, yeah. You'd be better off going bottom mount with an S14 T28 then either of those in my opinion.

EDIT: Also, not sure if you already knew this, but the RB20 turbo is a T28 turbo with a T3 footprint...meaning you'd have to go top mount, make a custom downpipe, etc etc etc. Just toss it, or sell it!

Thanks stryfe! But I plan on making my own elbow to meet the down pipe since I have a welder. I plan on using the 300zx t3 since its bigger and doesn't have ceramic exhaust blades. And any suggestions to a good setup are welcome guys, I want to hear opinions and thoughts and possible ideas!

i want to redo the undercoating in the front wells so it doesn't rust out like s13's usually do. and also i want to keep the plastic guards so little rocks don't get in the body under the door.

hey stryfe, you mentioned that i'd have to go topmount for the rb20 t28. well what if i use the 300zx t3 as a bottom mount? they're both originally bottom mount, so couldnt i just use either one as bottom mount? but i wanna use the the t3 since its bigger and probably more reliable.(i got it from a friend that has the 300zx. so i know it works corectly) my idea is i could get a bottom mani and just weld the t3 flange on it? and it should work? correct?

So my car is dead right now, narrowed it down to be either dizzy or crank angle sensor. Getting it shipped in the mail from my buddy. Hopefully it works, anyone know where to get just the crank angle sensor??

car runs! thanks to steve and outtowinpahc for all the info. turned out to be bad ground to ignition control module, which then fried the module. so fixed both and now runs great!

I understand your predicament. BUt still, you can call any importer and find some Decent legit wheels for a fantastic price.

finally making some more progress. i bought a header on the cheap figure i'd throw some more power on even though though its not much. lol anyways here's the old Image
and the new wrapped and equal length for the win! also weigh much less than compared to stock. Image
then next thing i did was reundercoat the front and rear wheel wells with rustoleum undercoating put about 4 coats on it. may be overkill but i dont care, no rust for me.
Image
Image

as i said when i redo the wells i'm gona put my megan streets on. and i finally did! after 4 months of waiting through the winter. they're on! byebye to tokico blues and hello megan streets!Image
i just stuck them on there and didn't play with the height or anything. and i also put the dampener setting all the way soft. and i get this. rear was lowered about 1 inch more and the front i'd say half inch, since i scrape the driveway more than i use too. Image
my buddies pig coupe 4x4 status, and my chuki! Image
also got my PBM oil filter relocator(for $60.00+$13.11 for shipping) to run my oil cooler, today. wasnt satisfied with the packing though, it only had a bubble pillow and some plastic wrap. also it has some nicks and stuff around the edges but overall i dont think that will affect the performance. Image
Image

plans now are to buy an oil cooler and the stainless lines to finish the oil cooler setup. also an oil pressure gauge and coolant temp gauge. i'm not real fond of the oil light in the cluster so a gauge will put me more at ease with both oil and coolant.

well it does add abit of hp. i can tell the difference, but also trying not to confuse sound with speed. it does make it significantly louder which also doesn't help since my exhaust it completely straight pipe. so if you're on to be on the low profile from the cops, don't get one.

meh i went pro at getting tickets... lol

only reason i ask is i was driving a sil-vert i was going to trade for my car for a week and it has a ka with a header, port and polished head, and tuned ecu and was wondering what actually contributed to the power...

the vert felt faster than my car lol which is sad being that it weighs more by a bit

me too.. i've racked up over 1g in tickets. could've had a turbo setup already.. :(
and well the header helped free up the power in the top of the power band. but im sure the ecu did alot too. mines stock.

finally got my oil cooler in, and i bought a new broadway mirror(270mm) looks great, and i got a drift brake knob. oil cooler costs me 40 bucks from cxracing, and i got the mirror and knob new for 30 bucks altogether as nice a deal. the cooler has a bent tab on it, im thinking wTF? took 6 days to get here too also wtf? shouldve taken 3 or 4. plus the guy from cxracing lied to me about calling me back when he couldve looked up the info and told me right when i called the first time 2nd time the girl told me in 2 mins where my cooler was at. also i got my x-drilled and slotted q45 rotors. break pads come in tomorrow at my work. anyways, here's my cooler! 13x5.75x2 10an line. and rotors!Image
