My C-mod 2010 grille was installed on my winterfrost (white) AC late yesterday. I had my favorite mechanic do it -- it took him about 15-20 minutes. Before installing it, we pondered the question "to paint or not to paint", and decided it would look best in unpainted matte black. I am very pleased with the results. Fit and finish are fine. These pics don't do it justice -- it looks nice, simple, elegant, politely aggressive, not cheap and flashy like the stock grille. (Car was slightly dirty, too.) By the way, it appears that the mesh can be temporarily removed, so it is possible to paint the plastic grille frame whatever color you want and leave the mesh as is. Here are a couple of pics:

I think the argument for painting it is if you want gloss or semi-gloss black -- because it is already a pretty decent matte black, and I did NOT want gloss. As I said, the pics don't do it justice. But, the good news is, when you get it, you can see how it looks with your car and make your own decision at the time -- and, it's so easy to install and remove, you can change your mind.

Im still on the color match side of the debate. Ive said a couple times to me it looks like the part isnt painted like the bumper was damaged in a wreck. Unfinished project look or something. To each his own though. If thats how you like it, roll with it.

I still don't know what I'm going to do with mine. It'll be painted for sure but not sure if I want to go color matching or gloss black. I'm also considering modding the C-mod to give it less of a fat lip lol. Now if only I could get my shipment confirmation from them.....grrr

I will prolly get mine painted to match my car but I wouldnt mind seeing it vinyl wrapped in carbon fiber or something. I think it would look pretty good. I might try it out before I get it painted just to see how it comes out. I have some 3M Di-noc carbon wrap laying around somewhere that I may see what it looks like.

Do any of you have pictures of your C-MOD Grill installed? I have a Crimson Black coupe and would like to get the grill, but I would like to see more pictures of it. The OP has a normal picture and a HDR shot. I would love to see this in its natural beauty since everyone loves them so much. :)
