BZCC Oct. CruiZ

The CruiZ to Brown Co. IN. was a big success! We had a really great time. We started out early meeting at the Brownsboro INN. and leaving out on time at 9:00am. We went slow because the large group got split up due to some traffic lights. There was a small bit of confusion with the directions at the first interchange once we got into IN. After some phone calls we all met up at the Subway in a small town. Then we were all together and started our CruiZ once again. The roads were lined with beautiful colored trees as it was just about peak fall season. The roads that we were on were low traffic and very curvy. We ran into another small problem when the road we were planning on taking into Salem was closed due to repairs on a bridge and the road itself. This put us on an unfamiliar detour. The small back roads we were on then were even more fun. Lots of 20,25, and 30mph curves. We spent a good hour wondering the back roads of IN and finally found our way to Salem, the next land mark on our trip. From there we went to Story which is a quaint little stop with a real rustic country feel. After a restroom break and some refreshments we were back on the road. We once again got split up into two groups. The group I was in made great time on the remaining 20 miles to our lunch spot. The second group took a wrong turn which would cost them about 30 extra minutes. In the time that they were getting back on track the small group that had already arrived made our reservation and started eating. We were on our third plate of the buffet when the rest of the Z club got there. We enjoyed the great food and each others company for a hour or so then some of the group went into town for some window shopping. The rest of us made our way back to KY.

The trip was great and if you have never made the journey there it is worth checking out. Even though we have a few glitches along the way it was really fun.
