bypassing the idle air controll crap?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Has anyone come up with a way to ajust idle with out an idle controll valve ..i would love some serious idea's to by pass this worthless crap ..im thinking of using a manual boost controller and screwing a hose in one side and retrofit a intake hose to possibly be able to ajust air from in the vehicle...or how bout an electric dial to ajust the modual, bypassing the computers controll....what ya all think!

Some people adjust it by adjusting their throttle body and has it open slightly during idle.This is after they block off the IACV of course.

Your idea is nifty too. :D

i did a search..is there a write up im missin on blockin off the IACV?

Nope, but you can take your IACV to a shop and have them machine you a block off plate.

The main idle air control valve on a Ka is really simple, its not really even computer controlled. Its a freaken on/off 12 volt signal that operates a temperature controlled plunger. The FCID valve is stupid and a pita, but the main IACV is fine.

thanks folks..ill go indepth and make my own plate i guess..i do thank you all for the input..unfortunatly..the IAC system is sumpin i love to work with..drives me freekin crazy!..lol...anyways ..thanks
