bypassing the clutch interlock relay

Will some one please help me. i need to know how to bypass the clutch interlock relay. I'm havin trouble with my 240 starting. it starts fine sometimes and then others it doesnt even attempt to start.

Hit the starter . If that fixes the problem, you know it is the starter.

If not, just remove the relay and put the wires together... (to bypass the relay)

look in the engine bay's fuse box area. You'll see two wires side by side, one of them is black with a yellow stripe. You'll need to jumper those two wires together.

i read that the relay is on the fender side of the battery . so is it there or under the airfilter

The clutch bypass relay is the green one on the inner fender behind the battery.

This is from the factory service manual. Yep, it is by itself by the battery. Not in a relay box. The other clutch relay is for automatic transmission.
