Okay so the guy I brought my car from bypassed the heater core when he did the motor swap. The car is constantly over heating like crazy. Me and my dad checked everything replaced the stock radiator with a koyo one and added dual fans and yet it still overheats. So we decided to look at it one more time today and saw that the heater core was bypassed and the hose that goes in to the heater core is capped off and so is the one that goes out of the heater core is capped off as well. Could this be my issue right here? That cause the hoses are not connected coolant isn't flowing around enough to cool my engine. I need to know asap my cars stuck on the side of the high way as I am trying to move back to ct.

yes. When you bypass the heater core, you are supposed to loop the outlets together. By capping them off you are depriving one end of coolant circulation. But on the bright side, assuming the head has not warped, you now have a Koyo and e-fans.

I think gumby is right lol. The heater core hoses are not even connected. There not looped around the engine at all there just hanging with caps in them. I haven't warped my head yet or blown the gasket thankfully. I would shut it down way before it hit the H. I am gonna go gets some clamps and another hose and just connect the hoses that go into the heater core together so I can get the thing home I got to drive it another 105 miles =( ill check the the thermostat but I haven't seemed to locate it on this built ka. Isn't it like 3 bolys after u follow the top radiator hose. A picture would help if available. Thanks

Ohhh...then yes he is correct that's definitely your problem haha

I wouldn't worry about your t-stat then, route those lines correctly and you should be fine.

if you don't see your coolant flowing through the radiator neck after fixing those lines, THEN worry about the thermostat.
