I wept as they took away my Altima Coupe today. It was like attending a funeral. I hope all of you have long and healthy relationships with your A/C's. Now it's gone forever.

In my sorrow, I finally narrowed the new car decision down to two cars: 2011 C300 4matic or 2011 GLK350 4matic. Both pretty much fully loaded and the price should come out similarly (probably will forgo an option or two on the GLK). Can't decide and need your help! I looked on Mercedes Benz forums for some advice, but they all suck and don't know a dime about cars. Nothing compares to nicoclub.

Also, I still have parts for sale for those interested. Looking to get rid of them fast. Still have the nismo exhaust, injen intake, a new eibach pro-kit, and borbet XL's rims. Refer to the classified thread for more information and email [email protected].

I actually don't like the GLK. I think it looks like an over priced Kia or a car for upper middle class moms. Actually I don't like any of the Mercedes suv/trucks. just my opinion though

As a former Mercedes owner (2001 E320), my suggestion is to be prepared for several rude awakenings over a period of time: (1) Mercedes routine maintenance and service (after the initial covered period -- I assume 50,000 mi.) is ridiculously expensive, and the service shops are not particularly sensitive to owners' cost concerns (they figure, if you can afford a Mercedes, you can afford to pay inflated service fees). (2) Mercedes cars are not as wonderfully dependable as they ought to be for the inflated price. Little things do go wrong -- and cost more for the pricey label when they do after the warranty expires. The cars do last, and the engines are quite good -- my last one was traded in at 198,000 mi., and the engine was about the only thing that still seemed reliable. After the 50,000 mi. warranty ran out, I took the car to a very dependable independent mechanic, who did a far better job at half the price or less. For example, full brake job with Mercedes parts -- dealer wanted close to $1,300, my guy did it for less than $700. NOW I have an Altima Coupe and I am enjoying it far more than the Mercedes I had.

Been through the same hell with an '05 E320. It was such a disappointment - there were a lot of issues with that model. That wasn't the worst part though - it was the idiots at the dealership in Naples a.k.a. Mercedes Hell of Naples.

Who knows what it is like now - just make sure you choose your dealer wisely in case you need lots of warranty service (hopefully not). Or, make sure there is an alternative dealer near as a backup.

But, best of luck.

my dad has an 03 E500. when it's not in the shop, it has service soon lights on with random stuff always going on. it's a nice car but not worth it. people see Mercedes or BMW and think their so great. I mean its a good car but not worth the money. bout it for $30,000 and the original owner paid $70,000. I would NEVER spend that much money on it.... Although I do sort of want a 05-06 E320 CDI. lol 40+ MPG and with a tune it can have 300 HP and like 450 lbs/ft of tq.

Dude, everywhere I go I read about how German cars' electrical systems are a huge bag of fail.

You think VW would have figured some of their siht out by now. I mean, they made cars for Hitler.
