Got tired of the noise of the CRV and poor service at my Honda dealer and talked the wife into the new Altima 3.5 SL.
As you can see by my signature I now have all my eggs in one basket. I guess this makes me a real Nicoite.
Going to pick it up Thursday after they tint it and add the sunroof wind deflector.

Thanks. I do dealer trades for both a toyota and nissan dealer and have driven all their line on some long trips and for the money I thought the altima was the best fit for my wife. Pretty well got everthing but the navi system.
I am jumping up a 111 HP over her altima in the morning as I am delivering a 08 Tundra(381HP) to Austin early in the morning.

Congrats. I think you're one of the few people that actually wants the deflector, but that's cool. Show us pictures when you get it.

I really think it kind of messes up the outiline of the car but the noise above 30MPH or so gets really bad in just about any care with an open moonroof.SHIFT_2.5S wrote:Congrats. The CRV we traded in had a deflector on it and you could cruise at 50 to 60MPH and the noise was way quiter with the deflector. Of course the 05 CRV had quite a bit of road noise to begin with.
My dealer was about to stick one of those after market ones on and I happen to check on my car today and I told them not to put it on. They claimed you couldn't get the factory one through their parts department.
I got home and went to Earnhart Nissan's internet site and found the part number and called my parts guy and he said it was a good number. So much for not being able to get the factory part.
I am not really crazy about a moonroof but most of the upscale models come with them installed. Also we have some miserably hot weather here south of Houston.
