Secondly, Monster Cables are a bunch of hype. You can get decent magnetically shielded patch cables at Radio Shack for a lot less. And you really only need shielded cables if you have interference coming into the system through the patch cables. You can usually prevent this by running the patch cables on the opposite side as the powerline for the amp. I use regular nonshielded patch cables if I can find them, and have never had noise. I'm only running shielded ones now since I couldn't find any long enough at the time, in a short period of time. But I did get the cheapest ones I can find.
