Buzzing sound from dash

After I start my 2004 Armada a buzzing sound comes from behind the ignition. Periodically it happens even if it's not running. Any suggestions?

Hi there and Welcome to Nico, sorry about the delayed response I have been on vacation.

A buzzing behind the dash could be any one of a number of electrical control devices located just infront of the driver. The Combination Meter is what I would suspect, however the BCM ( black box above the gas pedal assembly) also retains some functions for upto 28 minutes after the key is turned off and has a few internal relays and the potential to emit some sort of noise.

If you can try to narrow down the source a little more we will be able to point you in a slightly better direction.
