someone else posted a thread about this, but i cidn't get a response, so i'll ask again... i got a z32 with the bose system, but there was a rather intense buzz coming from the passenger speaker so i took out the speaker as a quick fix... anyone have any insight as to whether its just the speaker, or if its the amplifier in the door, or if its the head unit... i dont want to go buying **** that wont fix the problem. thanks

and im new here too... so i posted myself a little introduction up on hawk's "im new to the site" thread, so check it out.

It is most likely the amplifier, which tend to go out a lot on Z32's now that they are getting older. If you have an aftermarket headunit, you can just disconnect all the amps and it should be fine.

Well, you will need to unhook/remove the amp AND get a new headunit as I believe the stock Bose headunit does not have an amp in itself, so it would sond like crap with no amps at all.

My Bose system disgusted me so I rewired the thing with all alpine.

Bose was a good idea at the time, but the cheapness in which they mass produced it for Nissan makes it nothing special at all in my opinion.

Buzzing: Usually the amp in general or degraded head unitCrackling: Blown or cracked speaker

this will apply to any system 99% of the time
