I owned an '09 murano. Recently I heard some buzzing noises from left B-pillar, upper garnish. It happens only as you drive on the rough road or pass across the bumper. I can duplicate that noise by pushing the deiver's window upward, at the moment of window contacts with the trim, it will make a little vibration, and you can hear that buzzing noise. The sound comes near the B-pillar. I try to locate where it comes from. So, I took the center pillar upper garnish off, and tried via closing the window method. It was still over there. After lots of try and error, I found the buzzing noise was coming from the seat belt retractor. It resonates at some specific frequency range with car vibration, and the sound spreads throught the hollow car frame to upper pillar. That's why I heard from the upper pillar.
I try to put some tape on the retractor, only a little improvement. I will tell my dealer and see what we can do for this.
Just FYI.
